Awards

At KLD we believe all of our students deserve recognition for their hard work throughout the year. This is why all KLD members receive an award. We also offer many special awards, including Most Improved, Best Leap Award, Star Performer, Excellence Award, All Star, Sportsmanship Award, Gold Cup and Teacher’s Choice.

KLD Performing Arts also provides an opportunity for students to receive a Performing Arts Scholarship – KLD have two scholarships up for grabs!

The KLD Scholarship Award (valued $3,000)
Each year, ONE student is selected to win a gift voucher to use towards dance tuition at KLD for the following year. The recipient is also able to attend private lessons where they learn a solo to perform at our Annual Performance.

The KLD Junior Scholarship Award (Valued $1,000)
Each year, ONE student is selected to win a gift voucher to use towards dance tuition at KLD for the following year. The recipient is also able to attend private lessons where they learn a solo to perform at our Annual Performance.

To be eligible for these awards, the recipient must have demonstrated a strong commitment to dance and the KLD community. They must show their ability to balance their creativity, initiative and technique through performance, as well as demonstrate their desire to pursue individual goals whilst upholding the KLD values and set a good example for fellow members to follow. KLD also uses assessment and examination results, teacher reports and a variety of other criteria in its decisions regarding the awarding of this Scholarship. The recipient will be expected to continue contributing to the KLD culture and prioritise KLD events, performances and/or rehearsals above all outside commitments.
