Miss Kate Mico
REGISTERED TEACHER 17577 M.B.B.O. (LONDON), DIP. (DANCE).
PRINCIPAL AND DIRECTOR OF KLD PERFORMING ARTS
Kate has been dancing since the age of six and has had a strong passion for the Performing Arts her whole life. As a part of Kate’s training in dance, she completed examinations in Ballet, Jazz and Tap with the British Ballet Organization (BBO).
At the age of eighteen, Kate opened her own dancing school Kate Liz School of Dance. After completing her HSC, Kate continued her studies and studied Fashion Design.
Due to her dance school growing rapidly, within a year of opening Kate became a full time dance teacher and furthered her dance studies by completing her Diploma (Level 4) in Dance Teaching with the BBO in 2011.
Kate has trained many students to distinction level (highest level achievable) with the BBO. Many of her students have also auditioned and have been successfully cast in musicals.
More recently, in 2015 due to further expansion of her business, Kate’s dance school undertook many exciting changes including the changing of the business name to KLD Performing Arts, which offers a wider variety of classes including Contemporary, Show Case, Acrobatics, Singing and Drama.
Kate is an enthusiastic and caring dance teacher, who has a genuine passion to give her students the chance to be the best that they can be in a creative, safe and encouraging environment.
